Two Crowns Ceremony

Crowned in Love. United in Covenant.

The Covenant Crowning Ceremony is the signature experience of Two Crowns. Designed to elevate the meaning of marriage, this unforgettable ceremony publicly crowns a bride and groom as Queen and King, recognizing the sacred covenant they are entering and the legacy they are beginning together.

Covenant Experiences

Two Expressions. One Covenant.

Every couple is unique, but the desire to begin marriage with purpose, intentionality, and commitment is universal. Two Crowns offers two distinct covenant experiences, each designed to help couples publicly affirm their promises before family, friends, and God prior to the wedding ceremony.

Whether you choose a ceremonial crowning or a more traditional covenant experience, the heart remains the same: meaningful promises, public accountability, and a foundation built with intention.

Why This Is More Than Just a Ceremony

Picture this...

The doors open. The music begins to play. Your father reaches for your arm as you take those first unforgettable steps down the aisle toward the man who is waiting for you.

At that moment, your wedding day stops being just an event.

It becomes a promise.

A covenant.

A beginning.

Most weddings are remembered for the dress, the flowers, the photographs, and the reception. The Covenant Crowning Ceremony was created to be remembered for something deeper.

At the heart of the ceremony is the crowning itself. The crown bearers, chosen by the bride and groom are invited forward to present the crowns, sashes, ropes and ribbons. Before family, friends, and God, the groom is crowned as King and the bride is crowned as Queen, symbolizing their commitment to build a marriage rooted in love, strengthened by trust, guided by faith, marked by honor and respect, sustained through forgiveness, and enriched by a lifetime of shared adventures.

One of the most powerful moments is the Accountability Pledge. The ceremony facilitator asks the guests to publicly commit to encouraging, supporting, and holding the couple accountable to the promises they are making on their wedding day. It serves as a beautiful reminder that strong marriages thrive within a community of love, support, and encouragement.

The Covenant Crowning Ceremony is a brief but meaningful experience, typically adding only 10 to 15 minutes to the beginning of a wedding ceremony. Designed to complement the couple's wedding rather than replace it, the Covenant Crowning Ceremony concludes with a seamless transition back to the officiant, who then continues with the wedding ceremony, including the exchange of vows and the pronouncement of marriage.

By the time the ceremony concludes, something remarkable has happened. Guests have not merely watched a wedding. They have witnessed a covenant. The bride and groom have not simply exchanged vows. They have been honored, celebrated, blessed, and surrounded by people who will walk beside them as they build a life together.

That is why this is more than just a ceremony. It is a declaration. It is a blessing.

It is the beginning of a legacy.

Royal Symbolism

The Royal Distinction

“This is the moment you stop being his bride… and become his Queen.”

The Covenant Crowning Ceremony is more than a moment. It is an experience that invites couples to step fully into who they are meant to be: King and Queen, not just for a day, but for a lifetime.

While we may not live within a monarchy, that does not mean we are excluded from the beauty, dignity, and responsibility of royalty. This ceremony is an intentional choice to rise, to honor one another, and to lead your marriage, your home, and your family with purpose and authority.

Why the Colors Remain

A defining element of the Covenant Crowning Ceremony is the use of red and royal blue within the ceremonial sash. These colors are not chosen for aesthetic preference, but for meaning.

Red carries royal weight, symbolizing authority, power, and sacrificial commitment. Royal blue has long been associated with prominence, refinement, and honor. Together, these colors represent royalty in its truest form.

For this reason, the ceremonial sash remains in red and royal blue regardless of a wedding color palette. This is not a detail to be styled. It is a standard to be upheld.

Traditional Covenant Option

The Covenant (only) Ceremony

For couples who desire the covenant experience in a more traditional presentation, the Covenant Ceremony offers the same intentional focus without ceremonial regalia. Through spoken promises, public accountability, and the support of family and friends, couples affirm the principles upon which they intend to build their marriage.

Like the Covenant Crowning Ceremony, this experience takes place before the wedding ceremony and serves as a meaningful opportunity to pause, reflect, and intentionally establish the foundation of the marriage before the vows are exchanged. The Covenant Only Ceremony also comes with The Ten Principles of Two Crowns marital course.

One Purpose

Whether crowned in ceremony or united through spoken covenant, every Two Crowns couple begins with the same goal: to build a marriage marked by love, trust, honor, respect, faith, communication, accountability, forgiveness, and a lifetime of fun and adventure.
